Colour bleeding The use of modern, more environmentally friendly dyes and auxiliary agents means that the authenticity values of earlier times cannot always be achieved. If the gloves get wet, colour bleeding may occur, and you should not expose strongly coloured gloves to soaking. We do not accept responsibility for consequential damages in connection with colour bleeding. When using unlined gloves, be aware that hand creams of various types can have a colour-fading effect. Similarly, heat and moisture from sweat can have a similar effect. Stains

Facial creams (e.g. foundation) can leave stains and marks. On black gloves, this appears as wear, but the apparent damage is easily removed by cleaning with an almost dry alcohol wipe. Rain spots, especially on medium shades, dark spots may appear after raindrops. This is because the leather, when exposed to water, physically changes its surface structure. When the leather is dry, this is removed by pulling the leather a few times lengthwise and crosswise. If you have been unlucky enough to get fat-based stains on the gloves, try first to cover the stain with talcum powder or potato flour followed by a few hours of light pressure. This can often solve the problem. Remember... if the leather has become wet, always dry it slowly. Never on a radiator or the like. Under the influence of light over a shorter or longer period of time, most colours fade (some colours are more sensitive than others). Therefore, do not place the gloves where they are exposed to strong light, e.g. in the windscreen or rear window of the car. There are other places and a good reason why the small compartment in the car is called a "glove compartment"!
