There are many ways to dye leather, fur, and skins. Skindhuset has chosen to dye their skins on a tannery in the tanning process. This gives the skins a unique patina that is difficult to replicate.

How it works

Tannic acid is a dye that penetrates deep into the leather. The more times you apply tannic acid, the darker the leather becomes. Topcoat paint is applied on top to give the skin color and shine.
