Cleaning is crucial: For Forte to perform optimally on rubber or PVC, the material must first be cleaned with Renia Rehrastik (halogen solution) or a strong acetone. If the surface remains "greasy," the bond will fail.
Drying time vs. Activation: The glue must dry completely (approx. 10-30 minutes). To achieve absolute maximum strength, it is recommended to heat-activate the glue with a heat gun to approx. 50-60°C before pressing the parts together. This ensures an immediate and permanent bond.
Hardener: You can add 5-10% Renia Hardener C to further increase heat resistance and adhesion. This is essential if the product is to be used in very hot climates (like Dubai) or subjected to extreme stress.
Application care: As the glue is transparent, it looks better on light-colored materials than yellow glue, but be critical with the amount – layers that are too thick will weaken the bond.
Health & Safety: The glue is toluene-free, making it more pleasant and less harmful to work with compared to older types of contact cement.
