Heated Palette

The stainless steel heated palette, due to its size, is the ideal tool for large-format pieces. It is used at high temperature on thick and rigid leathers.

With its XXL format and its two rounded sides, the stainless steel heated palette is ideal for preparing the edge of the leather before applying color to thick leather pieces.

The palette is always used inclined to the edge and never flat in order to properly burn all the fibers of the leather.

Sometimes also called "pebble," it allows you to remove filaments and glue residue at very high temperature (heat settings at 7 or 8). This preparatory work is essential to obtain the smoothest possible edge on thick leathers.

The smoothing iron is used on a wood or cork handle with a diameter of 29 mm, which provides comfort and maneuverability. For this edge preparation operation, use the tool slightly warmed before any coloring.
