Leather Craft Iron BM
The BM leather craft iron is specially designed for your leather watch straps.
With its appearance of a large needle, the Regad BM leather craft iron is indispensable for artisans specializing in small leather goods and, more particularly, in the creation of watch straps. This very specific iron is used to shape the passage of the spring bar by heating. The spring bar is that small metal rod that is inserted into the lugs to mount the strap on the watch.
Specific, but adaptable to your needs, the useful part of the iron varies:
- in diameter, from 1.1 mm to 4.5 mm: the most common diameters being 1.5 mm, 1.8 mm, and 2 mm.
- in length, 35 or 40 mm to choose from.
It can also be used like an awl to go through belt holes. After piercing, the holes can close up, and the BM iron is used to reopen them and remove leather filaments.
If you wish to carry out this operation on belt holes of larger diameter, you can use the special parts PSL 325 (diam. 3 mm) or PSL 45×17 (diam. 8 mm) mounted on the Branding Iron heating element.
