The round, curved creasing iron from the FN°MCR family is designed to perform creasing on rounded leather pieces thanks to its round useful part.
This leather craft iron is an essential tool for creating decorative curved patterns on leather.
Its use requires precision and know-how to achieve optimal results. Thanks to it, you bring a touch of elegance and a professional finish to your leather creations.
With its round useful part of 14 mm in diameter, it allows for a more pronounced curved crease than that obtained with the creasing iron from the F family.
This creasing iron is composed of two fillets: the guide fillet and the tracing fillet.
The guide fillet being longer than the tracing fillet, it is placed against the edge of the leather and can thus guide the tracing fillet during creasing.
The thickness of the tracing fillet is 0.5 mm (tested cold).
The round, curved creasing iron is available in three models depending on the required edge distance:
- FN°1MCR: 0.8 mm from the leather edge
- FN°2MCR: 1 mm from the leather edge
- FN°3MCR: 1.3 mm from the leather edge
To extend the durability of your creasing iron – like all Regad leather craft irons – we advise you to use a support whenever you are not using it. Likewise, clean it regularly, when cold, with steel wool or polishing compound. Never clean the heating element.
